- What is included with Southwestern Bell Internet Services's Dedicated Access service?
- Our basic service includes the following features:
- Full, unrestricted Internet access
- Internet domain name registration
- Primary and Secondary Domain Name Service (DNS)
- Back-up e-mail spooling
- Network News feed
- Our optional services include: online customer profile traffic reports, and our Internet Access Pack which includes the network equipment required for your Internet connection.
- What else do I need to connect to the Internet using your Dedicated Access service?
- Southwestern Bell Internet Services can help coordinate everything you need for dedicated access to the Internet including:
- Southwestern Bell data transport -- ISDN, Frame Relay, DS1, DS3 or ATM.
- Hardware including routers, CSU/DSUs and Internet servers (including Internet applications)
- Software including firewall, browser and encryption
- What hardware is required for Dedicated Access to the Internet?

- Can Southwestern Bell Internet Services assist with my Internet hardware and software requirements?
- Yes, through our network integration partner and through strategic marketing relationships with Netscape Communications, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems and Ascend Communications. In addition to providing the required hardware and software, our integration partner can assist you with a wide range of internetworking equipment and installation, consulting, and network management and security services.
- What domain names are available with Southwestern Bell Internet Services's Dedicated Access service?
- We will register the domain name of the customer's choice with InterNIC (provided it is available). Any associated registration fees are the responsibility of the customer.
- Since Southwestern Bell Internet Services is using Netscape software for its network servers, do I have to use Netscape Navigator software?
- No, Dedicated Access customers can use the Web browser of their choice.
